Windy City Rollers Injured In Car Crash, Team Raising Money For Medical Expenses

Four members of the Windy City Rollers team were injured last weekend on their way to the derby league’s annual awards ceremony. The four skaters, Irene Kim (Senorita Slams), Maggie Follis (Janicide Joplin), Carlie Lusk (Baberaham Lincoln) and Sarah Knipple (Moby Nipps) were struck head-on by a car attempting to evade police. Knipple was to receive three awards at the ceremony that night. The RedEye reported that all four were injured but both Lusk and Knipple were hospitalized due to their injuries and Knipple remained in the trauma ward as of yesterday.

Windy City Rollers have set up a page to help offset medical expenses so the girls can get healthy and back on the track soon. They’ve already reached over half their fundraising goal.
