Help Wanted: Chicagoist Is Hiring A New Food And Drink Editor

By Chuck Sudo in News on Dec 20, 2013 9:41PM

1010help.jpg All good things come to an end: Chicagoist announces the departure of our Food and Drink editor Anthony Todd after over three years at the helm where I've watched him grow into one of Chicago's best young food writers. Anthony worked above and beyond even my wildest expectations to make the beat a must-read among Chicago media. He is taking over the helm at Tasting Table Chicago, where I'm sure he'll kick even more ass.

Chicagoist is looking to replace Anthony with someone as eager and knowledgeable about Chicago’s restaurant scene, but able to balance that with recipe development, news items and making the beat continue to grow and adapt to the changes happening constantly in Chicago’s restaurant kitchens, bars and elsewhere. The Food and Drink editor is responsible for writing 1-2 posts per day, managing and editing the food and drink staff and planning a short- and long-term editorial calendar.

This is not a full-time position but there is compensation involved. If you feel you have what it takes email applychicagoist@gmail.com with “F&D Editor” in the subject line. Good luck to all who apply.
