Friends of Chicagoist Allà sent over the latest single from local singer Sellasia, "I Don't Want (Anybody)," which they produced in a last-minute, late night collaboration. You can stream the Pee Wee Herman-sampling soul experiment below.

"I Don't Want (Anybody)" is the fourth single from Sellasia's Delusions of Grandeur project, which is a year-long, Kickstarter funded effort where she is releasing a new single every other month. "I Don't Want (Anybody" is the latest song, and it's a combination of Afrobeat's percolating groove, the joyous melodies of high life, and modern day R&B experimentalism. The previous tracks from "Grandeur" also are the products of collaborative efforts.

"I get by with a little help from my friends, like the young and talented Nathan Baker on guitar on 'Delusions of Grandeur,' trained vocalist Elise Swinford on 'One-Trick Pony' and Chicago's Allà family, who co-produced the most recent track," Sellasia writes.

The next single is scheduled for March, according to Sellasia's website. Listen to "I Don't Want (Anybody)," with cover art from Plastic Crimewave's Steve Krakow, below.
