2014_1_15KumasGhostSmall.jpeg Time magazine spoke to burger historians and experts (not sure who those people are but we want their job) and came up with a list of the 17 most influential burgers of all time. They state these burgers “made the biggest impact on the burger industry-and the world at large.” And making the list from Chicago comes one of the most controversial food items of last year, the Ghost Burger from Kuma’s Corner.

Time explained the origins around the burger, how it angered Catholics, made national news and the donation Kuma’s made after the controversy. But they never get around to explaining why they think this whole thing was influential. It has obviously paid off in dividends for Kuma’s, getting more than enough free press for a place that already has some pretty lofty wait times to get in. We’re fans of digging into a pile of meat while metal blasts in the background, so kudos to Kuma’s for all the influencing they are gracing us with according to Time.
