Chicago sludge metal titans The Atlas Moth announced earlier this week that it will release a new album, The Old Believer , in June. The album is the band's third overall and second for Canadian metal label Profound Lore Records, which is home to fellow Chicagoans such as Yakuza and Helen Money. The Old Believer follows 2011's An Ache For The Distance, a nine-track set from which the band earned considerable attention, including playing at the 2012 Pitchfork Music Festival.

Before The Old Believer drops, The Atlas Moth is going on tour, and Brooklyn Vegan has tour dates.
