Photos: The Best Of The 2014 Chicago Auto Show

My father and I spent Saturday walking the floor of the Chicago Auto Show, checking out the 1,000 vehicles on display. There were fewer concept cars on display than in years past, but I was a big fan of the Cadillac Elmiraj coupe and the Kia GT4 Stinger, while Dad preferred the Toyota FT-1. However, he didn't add it to his list of cars to consider as I helped him shop for his next new car—he's leaning toward a more sensible small SUV after checking out the countless versions available.

One big trend we noticed was the prevalence of electricity—both to power new cars and to power visitors' phones. Many of the car makers included re-charging stations in their booths this year and those were often the busiest places on the show floor.
