Snowbrawl 2014: Our Favorite Hits

By Lisa White in Arts & Entertainment on Feb 18, 2014 7:00PM

Last night the stage was perfectly set for Snowbrawl, a yearly tradition to throw caution (and snow) to the wind and have some fun during the rough Chicago winter. A joint effort by our own site, Do312 and RedEye, Snowbrawl 2014 was the third year of this annual battle. Over 100 people came out last night to Wicker Park, armed with layers and ready to fight. The snow was a bit powdery but it made for safe AND fun conditions. Some local news stations stopped by, coffee was on hand and soggy smiles were all around.

We collected some of our favorite Snowbrawl 2014 photos above. Thanks to Do312 and RedEye for posting many of them.

RedEye caught the Braveheart style action that kicked off the first of many battles last night:

While Ernest Wilkins was able to capture some action footage while deep in the trenches:

If you missed out on Snowbrawl 2014, you'll have to keep your eyes and ears open next year if you too want to enlist to fight against Chicago's winter boredom and frustration. Hope you had fun and see you all next year!
