Harper Reed Isn't A Digital Prophet, But He's Had To Deal With One

Harper Reed is known around Chicago as the digital brains behind little local operations including Threadless and the Barack Obama re-election campaign. He also has a unique sense of style, which is probably why, on Thursday, Death And Taxes had the moronic take of comparing the actually accomplished Reed with overblown AOL Digital Prophet David Shing.

So here's the problem with jumping to snap judgments: The AOL douchebag is certainly an idiot, but Harper has actually been an incredible innovator in the tech space—including helping a guy named Barack get re-elected—so despite his personal style there is zero reason he should be compared to this other dude.

That said, we couldn't resist sharing this with you once we discovered it existed.

The fact Reed doesn't pull every strand of Shing's hair off his head makes him a better man than us.
