Local artist, actor, raconteur and unemployed moviegoer Tony Fitzpatrick's latest exhibit, "The Secret Birds," is a collection of 18 small-scale collages, drawings and prints that are a celebration of nature. “I love pictures that evoke the feeling of the land,” says Fitzpatrick, "the idea that the land has a memory, that it remembers every transgression.”

"The Secret Birds" opens tonight at Advertureland Gallery (1513 N. Western Ave.) from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
