Last week we answered an inquiry about crawfish boils, recommending a few options available in Chicago. In response, people told us about a few more.

Reader Anne Marie Cook says McGee's Tavern and Grille in Lincoln Park has been doing the "Best, most authentic Crawfish Boil ever" for over twenty years. They fly their crawfish in from Louisiana. This year it's on May 17 and tickets are still available.

Another upcoming boil is Crawfish For Cancer, a fundraiser for multiple myeloma research, on June 28.

Crawfish also made the news recently because of a turtle hitchhiker from the bayou that turned up at Toon's. DNAInfo reports the Mississippi mud turtle was rescued and now lives at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park.
