Music Video Of The Day: Smoker 'Strange Ways'

Local outfit Smoker sent over their latest video, which they shot down south while recording and waiting out the Polar Vortex this past winter. You might have read about them on the site under their previous moniker, Stephen Paul Smoker, but whatever name they go by they dish up some pretty chill psych-rock.

The video is an ode to all things hair salon and hair, dedicated to local salon Twisted Scissor. I might be a little bias, since I've been getting my hair dyed and cut at Twisted Scissor for years, but it's dedicated to the shop for a pretty cool reason. The salon, where one of the members of Smoker works, has been supporting the band for years and helped sponsor Smoker's Kickstarter campaign last year. Their reward was a personalized music video, which features lots of hair flying around and some pretty trippy slowmo shampoo shots. We love a nice relaxing shampoo and never thought to pair it with a psych-rock soundtrack, which makes perfect sense now.
