Watch Video of Iraq War Veteran, Dog Reuniting at O'Hare After Two Years Apart

By Jon Graef in News on May 4, 2014 8:00PM

We're not crying—our eyes just got a little sweaty after watching this video of an Iraq war veteran and the bomb-sniffing dog with whom he worked for almost five years reuniting. Because of a back injury, Sgt. Jason Bos had to retire from the army, thus meaning he had to leave Cila, the chocolate lab with whom Bos searched for bombs and hidden weapons in Iraq, behind.

Two years after they departed, Bos saw a Facebook post which said Cila was due to retire. The kennel master contacted Bos to see if he wanted adopt Cila. Naturally, Bos said yes, and he set to pick Cila up from O'Hare International Airport. [Bos is from Michigan].

The Chicago Tribune was there to capture the happy reunion on video.

Nope, no tears at all. We just happened to be chopping onions at the very same time we saw the Tribune's post. Totally a coincidence.
