Riot Fest Offers New Layaway Plan For 2014 Festival

2013_08_riotfestlogo.jpg We've already crowned Riot Fest as our new "favorite Chicago festival" after the awesome work they've done the last few years and they are earning a few more points in our book for their newest addition, a layaway plan for festival tickets. Riot Fest realizes that some of their fans are on a budget and buying tickets when the festival first puts them up for grabs can be hard. So they are offering another option for the cash-strapped punk rockers out there.

Here is the breakdown of their layaway plan. If you purchase your tickets in June, your payment schedule will be broken up into four different payments. If you purchase in July, three different payments. Your first payment is due at the time of purchase and includes all taxes and fees. But make sure you are for certain, because there are no refunds, cancellations or exchanges. And you won't be refunded for any incomplete payments or if you do not make a payment, it will result in you losing your order and all the money you paid so far. Flexible but fair, because Riot Fest might be a bunch of nice punks at heart but they momma didn't raise no fools. Here is the breakdown of the percentage of cost you'll owe with each payment for both plans. Remember, this is based on tickets not being sold out already when you go to purchase the plan.

Plan 1 - For those purchasing in June
1st Payment - 25% + fees
2nd Payment - 25%
3rd Payment - 25%
4th Payment - 25%

Plan 2 - For those purchasing July
1st Payment - 34% + fees
2nd Payment - 33%
3rd Payment - 33%

This is such a great option, especially since our wallets are usually hurting around this time of year, after purchasing tickets for Pitchfork, Lollapalooza, North Coast, Spring Awakening, etc. Summer festival season usually finds tickets sales for multiple festivals around the same time, so it is great to see Riot Fest looking out for the fans that truly want to enjoy the festival but might need a little extra help nabbing a ticket. And since it is Riot Fest, check out the cheeky retro video they made to announce the layaway plan below.
