While the Alp-inspired cuisine makes Table, Donkey and Stick well suited for a cozy winter’s night around a fire, the Logan Square restaurant is welcoming summer with monthly Sunday barbecue dinners. This weekend, the eatery is hosting a dinner created by Trenchermen sous chef Kyle McElhinney, who will serve Dr. Pepper BBQ Beef Shin with sides of kale slaw, hominy cornbread, white cheddar and pickled jalapeno fondue, and charred asparagus with deviled egg dressing. Expect strawberry and buttermilk ice cream for dessert.

If you've got your weekend booked up already, be sure to stop by Table, Donkey and Stick to experience their recently launched bar. Beverages include wines from Alpine regions, craft beers, brandy flights and cocktails featuring artisan spirits. The bar menu is complete with their house made Wanderteller charcuterie selection and freshly baked bread to pair. If you try anything, go for the Schweinekopf and duck liver mouse sandwich on a rye baked baguette.
