Rick Bayless isn’t the only one modernizing Mexican cuisine. Chef Diana Davila plans to meld the best of the Midwest with spicy south-of-the-border flare come early next year in the former T’s Bar space. But before Cantina De La Granja opens its doors, it’s hosting Granja Urbana, a roving summer dinner series benefiting local urban agriculture from which Davila is scouting ingredients and fine-tuning her menu.
Proceeds from the first dinner benefit Common Threads. Cocktail hour begins at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, June 25 at Bulthaup Studios (315 W. Superior St.), and you can purchase tickets here. All dinners cost $100 per person and are set to take place monthly through October.
