Here’s another one from the “don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time” files and a reminder that posting proof of your stupidity on social media can come back to bite you in the ass.

Danielle Saxton of West Frankfort, Ill. stole a dress from a boutique in the downstate town, then decided to post photos of her wearing the dress to Facebook. “Love my dress,” the caption read.

Someone noticed the dress is the same one sold at Morties Boutique and tipped off owner Gay Morton Williams, who just happened to have the theft recorded on her shop’s surveillance camera.

"I called the police department and said, 'It just hit Facebook,' and they were on it in two seconds."

Police were able to arrest Saxton shortly after by placing her location via the background in the selfie. She was also being sought on an unrelated drug charge, is out on bond, and her Facebook profile is still public so you can read the comments from the Internet Greek Chorus.
