Stephanie Izard Recreates Classic 'Flashdance' Scene For ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

By Jon Graef in Food on Aug 17, 2014 7:15PM

The Girl and The Goat's Stephanie Izard has, like many others, famous or not, participated in the ALS bucket challenge.

The challenge, if you don't know, requires a person to have a bucket of ice dumped on their head to raise money and awareness for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, more commonly known as "Lou Gerhrig's disease." The person who has the ice dumped on their head then challenges more people to take the challenge.

No doubt you've seen someone on your social media feed do the ice bucket challenge. What you haven't likely seen is the flair of '80s nostalgia that Izard gives her challenge. Let's just say, "what a feeling," indeed.

Izard tweeted video of her accepting Kevin Boehm's challenge Sunday afternoon. She then challenged Chef Rusty Hamlin, Lee Anne Wong, and all of Sunday's guests at Little Goat Diner. Izard then says for every Goat guest who does the challenge, she'll donate $10 for ALS research.
