Jesus Christ, can we just skip the rest of August and get to mid-September already? We love the Riot Fest musical bill. We love the 10 bands doing 10 classic albums. We love the Riot Fest afterparties. And now we love all the other amazing stuff they've decided to throw around Humboldt Park to ensure no one spends a single second justifiably saying "I'm bored."

The fest now stretches from Division St. to North Ave., with its other borders extending between California Ave. and Kedzie Ave. That's a whole lot of new acreage! This also means that stages are further apart and space is plentiful, so say so long to bottlenecks at stages. Check out the map up close.

So, is there a space in your schedule where you're not really into any bands playing? Riot Fest has you covered there too. According to organizers there are, "over a dozen carnival rides, custom 9-hole mini-golf course, haunted house brought to you by Zombie Army Productions, Lucha Libre wrestling, Gospel For The Guilty burlesque show, Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow Revue, chainsaw sculpting, a classic 20-game arcade with all proceeds going to Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, and a wine bar."

A wine bar? Hell yeah!

Riot fest is Sept. 12-14 in Humboldt Park. If you don't have tickets yet you can still grab single day and three-day passes. Wanna ride the rides all day long? They have an unlimited pass for sale to do that as well.
