When I work remotely, my first option with free WiFi is Jackalope Coffee and Tea House. Not only does the Bridgeport outpost offer quality coffee (courtesy of Metropolis Coffee), tea (via Rishi Teas) and food, they also have a kickass music playlist that runs the gamut between underground metal, to pop music, to Afrobeat, to avant garde jazz, to garage rock and lo-fi music acts. You won't find any staid Starbucks/Hear Music playlists over the speakers here.

So it makes sense that the folks at Jackalope are also serious record collectors and know others who are crate diggers. On Sunday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., Jackalope is hosting its inaugural "Record and Music Memorabilia" fair. The event will feature plenty of vinyl and other music memorabilia for sale, while the Jackalope staff will provide coffee and other drink samples, and live music will be playing in the store.

Jackalope Coffee and Tea is located at 755 W. 32nd St.
