Equality Illinois Creates Cheekiest Voter Registration Ad Ever

By Jon Graef in News on Aug 30, 2014 7:45PM

Equality Illinois has taken a rather cheeky approach to informing Illinois voters about the state's new online voter registration system in a new ad. The ad stresses the importance of getting your v-card—that's voter registration card, natch—before the November general election. Wocka Wocka Wocka!

The ad, titled "Doris Wants Your V Card," has about 10,000 views, and is part of a statewide voter engagement campaign.

Here's what you need to register online:

In order to register online, the applicant must have an Illinois driver’s license or state identification card issued by the Secretary of State. Required information includes the complete driver’s license number or state identification number, the issue date of the driver’s license or ID card, birth date, and the last 4 digits of the social security number.

The direct link to register online can be found here. Illinois became the 18th state to allow online voter registration earlier this year.
