Wins all around for Chicago's baseball squads, including a twofer from the White Sox. Here's your morning box score:

Cubs 6, Pirates 4

Eight -- or at least the idea of potentially losing eight games in a row -- was apparently enough for the Chicago Cubs. The North Siders snapped a seven-game losing streak to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates by a two-run score. A three-run third inning, highlighted by Javier Baez two-run blast, helped the Cubs get the right momentum, which, praise Jesus, Hallelujah, they maintained. The Cubs wrap up their three-game series with the Pirates today.

Sox 5, Twins 1; Sox 7, Twins 6.

The Sox turned in two Wu Tang-esque unfuckwithable performances Saturday to sweep their doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins yesteday. Yesterday's game was postponed due to raim, so the energy they saved up came out in a brilliant baseball blast. Jose Quintana had a career high 13 strikeouts in game one, while Jose Abreau had a Kafkaesque experience at the plate during game two. Abreau had a 14-pitch walk which had eight straight foul balls. The patience of Job, folks. But his walk provided the key to Sox victory in game two.
