The sun is out and burning away the remains of the dawn mist. More important, the clouds are gone and a warming trend is in the works for the area. Today's highs should climb anywhere from the lower 60s near the lake to the upper 60s inland. As we head into the evening, things will remain clear as the warming trend commences in earnest Wednesday, where highs are expected to cross the 70-degree threshold for the first time in a while.
The forecast for the rest of the week calls for a slow climb in the mercury to the mid-60s by Saturday. The weekend calls for rain.
