LA Dodgers 8, Cubs 5
The Cubs tied a ragged bow on a disastrous 2014 home season Sunday with another loss to the Dodgers, who apparently saved their batting practice for in-game situations. Starter Jacob Tuner was shelled, people. He allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings of work and picked up the loss. Jeff Kemp hit a two-run homer and drove in four, and the Dodgers were 8-for-17 with runners in scoring position as they maintained the hit parade once Turner was pulled. Wellington Castillo homered for the Cubs, who were 3-for-13 with runners in scoring position and struck out 13 times. While the Cubs finish the season on the road, the renovations at Wrigley Field may begin in earnest.

White Sox 10, Tampa Bay 5
The Sox only needed two innings to put up all the runs they needed at Tropicana Field Sunday and that was enough to give John Danks his first win since July 25. The Sox scored four runs in the second inning and put up six in the sixth inning, while Danks no-hit the Rays through five innings. Marcus Semien hit a three-run homer and Avisail Garcia had a pair of solo shots. Danks eventually struck out five and allowed two runs in six innings.
