The Cease and Desist Cocktail (nee: Oxycontin)

In celebration of their one year anniversary, CH Distillery is bringing back its "Oxycontin" cocktail. The drink consists of the distillery’s dry London gin steeped in Lapsang Suchong tea and mixed with ginger syrup, honey, and lemon.

When CH Distillery first opened, the Oxycontin cocktail became so popular that the makers of the pharmaceutical sent CH a cease and desist letter. The distillery took the legal action in stride and continued to sell the cocktail under a new name, Cease and Desist.

To commemorate the anniversary, the distillery is taking a tongue-in-cheek approach by serving the under its original with a cease and desist letter to pair. The Oxycontin will go for $11 a drink and $45 a pitcher. Anniversary festivities will take place Sept. 23, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. CH Distillery is located at 564 N Randolph St.
