  • Be on the lookout for a Trek bike that was stolen out of a garage in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood. The owner is Melissa Stockwell, a local veteran and paratriathlete who was the first female American soldier to lose a limb in combat during the Iraq War. Stockwell used the bike to race in two world championships and the frame is decorated with the American flag and Wounded Warrior Project stickers, which is the organization that helped her train and compete in the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing. Stockwell was training on the bike until recently, when she put it in storage since she is currently pregnant and it became "tough to reach the handlebars." Her son is due in November.
