Weekend Playlist: Contraception Jamz

Friday was World Contraception Day, and, in honor of that fact, here's a video of all the crazy methods we have tried to use to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Now, women's reproductive health has been all over the news lately. The City Council of Austin, TX passed a bill that supports the full repeal of HB2, which placed even more strenuous restrictions on access to reproductive health care. A month ago, a Louisiana judge placed a restraining order on the state's newer, stricter abortion law, just hours before it was set to go into effect.

The point is, we are living in a time where there are a multitude of safe, effective methods for contraception, but women can't get access to them. We even had a hard time finding enough songs to fill the slots this weekend! Too bad none of these Planned Parenthood parody song titles are real.
