Pencil This In: Cornelia Arts Building Open Studios

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Oct 2, 2014 5:30PM

2014_10_2_PTI.jpg October is Chicago Artists Month and a great way to kick it off is with a visit to Cornelia Arts Building for their open studios Oct. 3 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Over 40 resident artists will participate, opening their studios to allow guests a peek at their works. There will be special hallway guest exhibitions, food trucks and live music from The Swingline Quintet.

The Cornelia Arts Building, located in a former ice house, is one of the oldest and largest all-artist facilities in Chicago. Established in 1986, more than 50 artists call the building home including sculptors, painters, photographers, ceramic artists, print-makers, jewelry designers, and textile artisans. (1800 W. Cornelia Ave.)
