Pencil This In: Long Room's 2nd Annual 'Buy A Beer, Get A Sausage' Cookout

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Oct 3, 2014 5:30PM

2014_10_3_PTI.jpg Last year, The Long Room (1612 W. Irving Park Rd.) hosted an event where they served four Weihenstephan beers on tap, each one specifically paired to a sausage prepared by The Butcher and Larder made from the beer which it was paired. The promotion was so successful they're doing it again today, starting at 4:30 p.m. until the sausages are gone.

The Weihenstephan beers on tap are Oktoberfest, Heffe Weissbier, Vitus Weizen Bock and Korbinian Doppelbock. All of them are priced at $4 a pint. You buy one of those beers and get a sausage for free. That's a hell of a deal.
