Edgewater's Sauce And Bread Launches Kickstarter To Help Produce More SBK Bars For Your Face

Sauce and Bread, the co-op bakery and cafe located in underrated Chicago neighboorhood Edgewater, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help increase production of their delicious SBK Bars. The granola bars have become something of a hot item around town.

Producing those bars for your face, though, requires a lot of time and effort. "We are thrilled, honored, not to mention excited for what the future may hold. But damn we're sweaty and wow do our wrists feel sore," the Sauce and Bread Kickstarter page reads. "Doing the whole process by hand is crazytown when you sell over 15,000 bars in just under nine months."

We'll say. To keep up with demand without selling out to the man, Sauce and Bread have promised a bevy of rewards to those who donate toward buying supplies like a pneumatic cutter, a DoBoy, and a flowrapper—all of which are essential to the "eco-friendly, sustainable packaging for the SBK Bar."

Sauce and Bread's video to explain their campaign is below. At eight days to go, Sauce and Bread have raised about $15,500 toward a $25,000 goal. Edge them over, won't you?
