A Carb Feast At Bar Toma's Dough Masters With Fat Rice

Bar Toma (110 E. Pearson St.) has invited Fat Rice's Abraham Conlon to help them cook up a dinner of dough-based favorites for their Dough Masters series on Monday Oct. 20. That means noodle, pasta, dumplings, pizza, and other carbs you love that are dough-based.The dinner will fuse Conlon's Macanese cuisine with Bar Toma Executive Chef Erik Freeberg's Italian and Mediterranean offerings.

Here's the menu:
Passed apps:
Pork liver crostini w/ soy braised Treviso
Stuffed buns w/curried chicken
Arancini w/sticky rice, pork belly, apple, cilantro and Miele Thun monofloral honey

1st course:
Boiled dumplings w/ Pinn Oak Ridge lamb, olives, preserved lemon and harissa sauce
Pizza w/ linguica, piri piri sauce, and escarole

2nd course:
Crazy Noodles w/ basil, chiles and wood roasted tofu
Chicken Vesuvio w/crispy potatoes, peas and smoked paprika

Dolci:
Portuguese Egg Tart w/ black mission fig gelato


Dinner starts with a welcome reception and small bites at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Brown Paper Tickets for $75 a person and include beer and wine pairings.
