The ghost of Bonny's lives on at Slippery Slope (2357 N. Milwaukee Ave.), where the beloved dive bar once dwelled. For Halloween they are conjuring that ghost for their Bonny's Revival part, which was once held at Scofflaw. Nothing says ‘scary’ like vinyl floors soaked with whiskey and wall-to-wall hipsters screaming the lyrics to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. Brave the line, grab a house Malori shot (Malort and Campari), and get weird to beats by Superfriends.

Scofflaw (3201 W. Armitage Ave.) is throwing a different party. This year the theme is Animal House, and three “jungle juice” punches will be offered alongside PBR and draft beer in place of the regular cocktail menu. All drinks will be served in red solo cups, and attendees are encouraged to break out their togas, “College” sweatshirts, and whatever other garments best bring out their inner party animals. Costumes are not required but will probably increase your chances of scoring a free drink and get you in the mood to groove to 70’s dance music courtesy of DJ Carlos Mercado.

Party on, ghouls, and as always: RIP Bonny’s
