Pencil This In: World Fusion At City Winery

Members of Las Guitarras de España return to City Winery 8 p.m. Oct. 28 with "World Fusion," a performance featuring music and dance with Indian, Arabic, and Spanish flamenco elements. This all-star line-up presents "world music" artists who have recently appeared in major Chicago theater productions: "The Jungle Book," "The Last Ship" and "Cascabel featuring Rick Bayless." Las Guitarras de España leader Carlo Basile heads a lineup that includes guitarist Diego Alonso (Spanish Guitars), Ronnie Malley (Arabic Oud/Percussion), Bob Garrett (Percussion), Saraswathi Ranganathan (Indian Veena), Dhananjay Kunte (Indian Tabla), Chihsuan Yang (Chinese erhu/violin) and Marisela Tapia (flamenco dance). Tickets are available online. The show starts at 8 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. (1400 W. Randolph St.)
