We enjoyed some amazing and unseasonably warm weather the past three days, a run of weather that peaks today as we flirt with the record books. Skilling Central says the warmest high temperature on this date was 79 degrees, recorded in 1940. Skilling has us pegged for an official high at O'Hare of 75 degrees. (Accuweather has the temperature at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters in the low 70s.) That balmy weather will accompany gusty winds from the southwest and growing clouds in the skies.

As we head into the evening the forecasts have a couple thunderstorms in store for us with overnight lows in the mid-50s before Tuesday's highs will feel more like a chilly, raw autumn day. Your mandate today: savor the weather.
