We're down to the wire in our Halloween planning. The candy is waiting to be passed to trick or treaters and my personal goal of dressing as Harpo Marx for Halloween will have to wait another year. Today's forecast divines a chilling witching hour ahead for us. The gradual drop in the mercury continues with highs pegged in the mid-50s as the clouds thicken throughout the day. The winds are out of the southwest right now but they'll shift to the north this evening as another cold front arrives, bringing raw temps and possibly some overnight showers.

As for Friday, we're in store for highs near 40 degrees and possibly some snow. Bundle up if you're party hopping; seeing gooseflesh when you're wearing "sexy"-themed costumes is anything but.
