We normally aren't TGIF folks but today we'll make an exception—it's been a long week, folks. Thankfully we have a solid chance the sunshine beaming down on the city as we type this stays with us, for a little while at least. There's no arguing it's going to be a chilly day with highs in the mid- to upper-40s. While Accuweather is taking a rosy view of the forecast with partly sunny skies, Skilling Central has us in store for mostly cloudy conditions, especially in the evening and overnight, along with a chance for showers. The good news is the wind gusts that made Thursday so raw have abated, but they'll return overnight and into Saturday morning.

The weekend forecast is shaping up to be very pleasant, if a bit cold overnight. Those low temps are a precursor to what is looking to be a bitter cold week in spots, with some snow expected midweek.
