The far north suburb of Round Lake Beach has had its problems over the years, from gang activity familiar to anyone in Chicago to a school district with a budget problem bad enough to warrant the state taking over. But in general, Round Lake is a community of people living and working together despite different cultures and backgrounds and just trying to make things work.

Last weekend, however, saw a frightening scene develop, as a domestic incident led to the shooting death of 31-year-old Anthony Robinson. The shooting took place at approximately 9:14 p.m. Saturday on the 1400 block of Idlewild Drive, according to police, and the suspect, 36-year-old Jeremy Anderson of Chicago Heights, is still at large with a $3 million warrant out for his arrest.

Police say that Anderson was last seen driving a blue 2000 Chevy Malibu, license plate V128881, and would appreciate any help apprehending him. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Jeremy Anderson, the Round Lake Beach Police department can be reached at (847) 270-9111.
