Weekend Playlist: Are You Ready For Some Halftime?!

It's coming. No, not the potentially giant snowstorm headed our way, but the Super Bowl. Tomorrow's game features a transcontinental matchup between the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. Controversy erupted early and in force this year, ranging from the league's ongoing domestic violence scandal to the on-field mystery of "Deflategate"— the latter case blown wide open by the sleuths over at Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But that's not what we're here to discuss.

No, this week's playlist will be dedicated to the halftime show. The tradition of the giant Super Bowl halftime show dates back to just the early '90s, but for as long as there's been football, there's been music to accompany it. This week's playlist honors a few of the earlier halftime shows along with many of the more recent ones. From wardrobe malfunctions to surprise reunions, the halftime show is full of twists. What will this year bring?
