Happy Chicago Theatre Week! Now go see a show.

Other Desert Cities
John Robin Baitz’s Tony-winning play makes its Lake Forest debut. The rollercoaster drama-slash-comedy takes place at the Wyeth family Christmas in Palm Springs, Calif., where long-buried family secrets are soon brought to light. The show runs through Sunday, March 15.

Citadel Theatre Co., 300 S. Waukegan Rd., 847-735-8554 or online.

Pride & Prejudice - The Musical
FWD Theatre Project’s second staged reading follows the classic Jane Austen tale, which, surprisingly, hasn’t been made into a musical yet. The show takes place Monday, Feb. 16.

FWD Theatre Project at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 621 W. Belmont. Tickets are available online.

Marie Antoinette
Playwright David Adjmi has his work cut out for him with a modern take on the infamously extravagant queen of France during the rise of the French revolution. The show runs through Sunday, May 10.

Steppenwolf Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted, 312-335-1650 or online.
