Local marching-meet-rock band outfit Mucca Pazza are having a busy start to the new year. They are about to kick off a residency next month at Revolution Brewery and they just became the largest band in Tiny Desk Concert history to perform on the popular series from NPR. The band stopped by NPR's office in Washington, D.C. and was the first band to perform this year. We're showcasing their full set below today.
If you like what you see and what to enjoy a great time experiencing Mucca Pazza live, their Sitting In Chairs residency kicks off at Revolution Brewing on March 30. Opening night they'll play their album L.Y.A. in its entirety to celebrate the release of the vinyl version the next day. They'll also perform April 6, 13 and 20. The band bills Sitting In Chairs as "a large band in an intimate space, inspired by big band and variety shows and serves as a platform for the band to stretch its musical chops." You can grab tickets over at Revolution Brewing's website.
Since you apparently can't watch music videos on television anymore, we'll showcase one here daily. There's no rhyme or reason, time or season, to which video we'll choose. Have a suggestion? Contact us at tips@chicagoist.com.
