Obama Featured In New Emanuel Campaign Ad

Mayor Rahm Emanuel's late push for black voters continues with his latest campaign ad featuring President Barack Obama, who says in the video, "(Emanuel is) making sure every Chicagoan in every neighborhood gets the fair shot at success that they deserve." Along with Obama's approval in the spot are endorsements from the Tribune, Sun-Times and—to continue the courting—the Chicago Defender.

We know the president has been away from Chicago during Emanuel's time in office, but we're certain there are several Chicagoans in every neighborhood who would beg to differ.

Peep, peeps.

The campaign ad also features Obama physically embracing Emanuel in the hopes that the president's strong support among African Americans will send undecided voters casting votes for Emanuel at the polls Tuesday. This ad will close out Emanuel's campaign but you can be sure to see it all over the local airwaves if he winds up in a runoff election.
