Today's Weather: Open Water

Our morning dog walk was informed by single digit temperatures, a brisk wind from the west and snow that crunched like glass under our feet. Thankfully, it's all up from here as we are absolutely looking forward to 30 degree mercury readings because of what they portend heading into the weekend.
Check out the weekend forecast: temps near 40 and plenty of sun both days. It's about time the highs matched what is normal this time of year. The extended forecast looks even better as we head into the mid-month. We're looking forward to opening some windows and airing out the winter funk at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters.
