While everyone else is wasting time pulling jokes and pranking each other on April 1, we'll be spending the evening enjoying a trio of magical pizzas that also help out a wonderful cause. For one day only, Piece (1927 W. North Ave.) is declaring April 1 Atomic Goat Fried Chicken Pizza Day, which the name alone already sounds like a WAY better holiday than April Fools'.

Tomorrow you can stop by Piece and try not only the special collaboration pizza of the past month, Hot Doug's Atomic pizza, but also feast on previous collaboration pizzas (that are currently out of rotation) from Stephanie Izard of The Girl and the Goat and Little Goat and Josh Kulp and Christine Cikowski of Honey Butter Fried Chicken. Yes, enjoy all three superstar pizzas under the same roof, with ten percent of the sales going to benefit Pilot Light, a wonderful program that helps CPS students learn about food and nutrition. And during the evening hours, all the chefs are stopping by to meet loyal pizza fans as well.

According to Piece, they are expecting to donate more than $10,000 to Pilot Light, which is a lot of 'za consumed the last few months for a great cause. The collaborations for this year will be over after tomorrow night, but Piece is planning on bringing them back in some form next winter which is wonderful news when we need an excuse to dig out of the snow and leave our apartment. Make plans to get a group together, stop by and enjoy all three delicious options tomorrow night.
