Today's Weather: Cool Summer

By Lisa White in News on Jul 2, 2015 1:40PM

Grab a light sweater or jacket before you head out the door today, because it's July in Chicago. We're currently stuck in a portion of cool Canadian-sourced high pressure that is hovering over the western Great Lakes, making it feel more like spring than summer. Current high temperatures are around 12 degrees below normal for this date, and we'll be lucky to hit the low 70s for a high today. Despite the chill, we will see mostly sunny skies.

As of now, it still looks like we'll warm things up for the 4th of July weekend, with highs in the 80s Saturday and Sunday.
