Former Chicago Women's Soccer Teammates Get Married

Two former teammates on the Chicago Red Stars, part of the National Women's Soccer League, announced their marriage today.
Erin McLeod and Ella Masar both played for the Red Stars in 2013 while living in Ukrainian Village, according to DNAInfo Chicago. At the same time, the duo starred in the "Ella and Erin Show," an incredibly casual YouTube talk show where they told bad jokes, interviewed their teammates and generally made each other laugh.
Sadly, the two were traded to the Houston Dash in 2014, bringing an end to the online series. But the chemistry that was so readily apparent between them blossomed into more than just a friendship. Masar, a strict Christian, came out in a moving and read-worthy blog post earlier this year, in which she discussed falling in love with McLeod.
McLeod most recently competed in the World Cup as Canada's starting goalkeeper, where she led her team to the quarterfinals before finally falling to England. Yesterday morning, she posted this picture on Instagram, officially confirming that she and Masar got married. Congrats, you two!
