If you like to travel and dine out, you might be familiar with Coi, a Michelin-starred world-renowned restaurant. Chicagoan Matthew Kirkley, last at L20, has been named executive chef there as Daniel Patterson steps back to focus on his family (HT Eater).

Michael Dean Reynolds of Leopold and Bread & Wine had been working at The Brass Monkey for awhile and now has taken over as Executive Chef as Ryan Wombacher has moved on to opening The Hampton Social. The Brass Monkey's menu was one of the longest I'd ever seen outside of a dim sum restaurant, so it's nice to see he's slimmed it down—check it out at Eater.

DNAinfo reports that Stephanie Izard's new project Duck, Duck Goat will open in November. The restaurant will serve food inspired by her travels in China.
