This Jerk Showed Up To Lollapalooza With A 'RAPE YOUR FACE' T-Shirt

Some jerk showed up to Lollapalooza this weekend wearing a T-shirt that said "RAPE YOUR FACE."

Jezebel writer Jia Tolentino spotted him near the VIP area of the Bud Light Stage and managed to snap a photo and briefly interview him about why he decided to choose this particular T-shirt:

He shrugged, seeming amped on life. It was sweaty out, we were standing in the spotlight of a glowing LOLLAPALOOZA 2015 balloon, and the tweak and throb of a cheap EDM set carried across the park. (I thought it was Bassnectar, but as I was crossing the Bud Light TM Crowd afterwards, a voice from the stage went, appropriately, “I’M NIGHTMARE!”)

“One last question,” I said. “Have you ever literally raped someone’s face?”

“Fuck yeah,” hooted his friend, hopping around.

He shrugged again, smiling at me, his sweat stains creeping. “Guess you’re gonna have to find out for yourself,” he said.

The T-shirt is part of the MELT YOUR FACE line of T-shirts. Some of the other options offered include RAGE YOUR FACE, BASS YOUR FACE, PHUCK YOUR FACE and the RAPE YOUR FACE T-shirt, the site says, is being offered for a "limited time only." Though it appears the shirt has been around for some time. Here's a shot of a guy modeling the shirt in 2012 with a bowtie.

That photo got no complaints, a couple likes and one guy saying, "need one of these." But it looks like the Melt Your Face Facebook page has also gotten its first complaint, asking, "Why do you sell t-shirts promoting sexual violence?"

Earlier this year, another jerk showed up to Coachella wearing an "EAT SLEEP RAPE REPEAT" T-shirt. Sexual assault, in case you weren't aware, is an actual, serious problem, even at music festivals.
