Revel Room Is Being Taken Over Tonight By A Texas Bar With A Cult Following

Houston's Anvil Bar & Refuge is one of the those cult bars that you might not have heard of, but your favorite bartender probably has a reverence for. You'll probably see her or him at tonight's Anvil Bar takeover at The Revel Room (1566 N. Milwaukee Ave.) from 6 to 2 a.m. Their own Johnathan Jones, who is an Anvil alumni, will be making cocktails alongside fellow alumni Justin Samson and current Anvil bartenders Jessey Qi and Tommy Ho.

It's a chance to get a taste of one of Anvil's most famous concepts "The Anvil 100" - 100 classic cocktails you must try at least once from well knowns like the Sazerac to the slightly more obscure Brandy Crusta. And they know how to do them damn well at Anvil, earning a place on Esquire's Best Bar List and a James Beard nomination.
