Video: The Cubs' Kris Bryant Drives A Lyft And No One Recognizes Him

Kris Bryant might get Rookie of the Year and has become a household name in Chicago but would you recognize the Cubs star if he was your Lyft driver?

Some lucky Chicagoans failed to realize that Bryant was their driver when he shot a hilarious video for the "Undercover Lyft" series. Even though Bryant discussed the Cubs and even himself with his riders, not a single one put two and two together even as they rode around around Wrigley Field. A disappointment for these alleged Cubs fans!

One man thought Bryant looked familiar and tried to place him as a Lyft driver he'd ridden with before. Another passenger said he didn't think baseball players were real athletes and compared them to chess players.

Bryant: "You play ball?" Passenger (who also admitted that he had stopped paying attention to the Cubs until this year): "I play volleyball. What about you?" Bryant: "I play baseball." Passenger: "Ok. That makes sense." Bryant: "I'm pretty good." Passenger: "So why aren't you in the pros then? Not to make you feel bad about it." Bryant: "I'm actually the third baseman for the Chicago Cubs." -Long awkward silence- Passenger: "You look like him." Bryant: "I'm Kris Bryant."

This alleged fan can barely remember Bryant's name:

Passenger: "I'm not sure who the third basemen is but they have...or is it Kris Bryant?" Bryant: "Yeah, that's right." Passenger: "Yeah, Kris Bryant who's like supposed to...projected to just kind of be a stud."
