Now that happy hour is legal in Chicago—yay!—Harris Theater has decided to up the ante with a new happy hour performance series called MIX at SIX. Beginning at 6 p.m. on select nights, they’ll present one-hour performances from cutting edge music and dance groups along with signature cocktail specials and food from popular food trucks.

The series launches on Oct. 8 with AXIS Dance Company, an award-winning group that features performers both with and without disabilities. Founded in 1987, the group has toured worldwide with their original contemporary works. Other dance groups that will appear later in the series include Jessica Lang Dance (Nov. 5) and local company Lucky Plush (Nov. 19). Artists like jazz pianist and composer Vijay Iyer (Jan. 20) continue into 2016, along with circus act C!RCA (March 23) and chamber music group Brooklyn Rider (May 18).

Single show tickets are $10 through the links above, or you can purchase a subscription to the full series for $50 by calling 312-334-7777.
