After a long week at the office, who wouldn’t want to get out for a lunchtime dance party with some of the world’s most renowned DJs? Beginning Oct. 16, you can do just that with the return of Wired Fridays.

From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Fridays of the month, the Department of Cultural Affairs presents this free music series that features influential electronic artists from the ‘90s to today.

While Wired Fridays calls the Chicago Cultural Center home, the fall season will kick off with a special outdoor dance party on Daley Plaza with Roy Davis Jr. A local DJ and producer, Davis is one of the forces that helped define electronic music as we know it today. He spent time with acid-house group Phuture in the late '80s, but saw success on his own with hits like “Gabriel.”

The party continues through the end of the year with other well-known names like Chicago house DJs Derrick Carter (November 6) and Cajmere (December 4). Check the DCASE website for the full schedule.
